{October Days}

I cannot believe that October has come and gone.  Time is just flying by.  In some ways it's a good thing (I'm just about into my second trimester already!) and but some days I just want time to slow down a bit.  We have kept busy this month and really enjoyed spending time with our families and friends in Boise.  It's good to be back :-)

We went to Casey's college buddy's wedding in Couer d'Alene.

How is it that out of all the people we saw and things we did that weekend this was the only picture I managed to snap?  Take my word for it - there was a nice wedding and lots of good times shared among old friends and new.

I went to Kate's orchestra concert.

You can't really see her from this angle but she was there.  I promise :-)

Isn't she adorable?

Ben and Kim came for a visit.

Ah, the classic Ben pose.  How did I not get a picture of you Kimmy?  Sorry :-(

We helped my grandma celebrate her 78th.

We carved pumpkins with Amber, Andy, and Alex.

Our little jack o' latern family :-)

The gang from L-R: Alex, Andy, Amber, Molly, Casey.

We went hiking with Casey's family up near their cabin in Garden Valley.

As I was uploading this I asked Casey why he made this dorky face.
He replied - "That's not my dorky face, that's my awesome face."  Nice.

We had our first two doctor's appointments for baby in October, too.  Our first appointment was on the first when we got to see our little one on ultrasound.  Our second appointment was just this past Friday when we got to hear baby's heartbeat via doppler.  It was incredible.  Hands down the best sound I've ever heard.

So all in all October was a pretty great month.  Here's hoping November is just as awesome, if not better :-)

{Home Building: Weeks Four and Five}

Wowzers, the house is really coming along!  We should be moving in about a month from now.  It's looking really good and I'm really excited to see the whole thing come together.  We're very ready to be reunited with our kitties and we're ready to have all of our belongings in one place.  When we separated out our stuff before moving we thought we'd be in a house by now (we were originally planning on buying, not building) but alas we are not so we are making things work.  We know they are just things in storage but a lot of those things so make our lives easier and better so we'll be thrilled when we liberate our possessions from their exile in the storage unit.  I've been taking house pictures, just haven't really had time to post them until now.  Okay, enough chat, here are some pics from the last several weeks:

Week six has already passed but I didn't include it in this post since I didn't take any pictures last week (bad Molly).  They have installed and painted the trim, completed the laundry chute (Squeal! I'm so excited about it!), finished and painted the siding, and done lots of little things inside.  Worry not, faithful readers, more pics to come soon :-)

{Go Orange, Go Big Blue!}

I had a great time at the game last night with Grandma and Uncle Stevie.
Although I do confess I started feeling a little sorry for Toledo because they were losing so terribly.  57-14....ouch.  But Boise State won and I had fun with my fam so it was a super swell night :-)

{Baby Babendure}

We've already told our families and friends.  We've even told Facebook.
But we just had to say it again:

We can't wait to meet Baby Babendure!

We're due May 14, 2011 - only 31 weeks to go :-)

{Home Building: Week Three}

Week three isn't even over yet and already they have done so much!  It's actually starting to resemble a house now :-)

On Monday they started the framing which was SO EXCITING!  (Pardon the low res cell phone pics.)

Just two days later there was SO much more done.  We actually got to walk around inside and see where each of the rooms is and really got to feel the space instead of just seeing it on paper.  This made me super duper excited :-)

Front of the house

Looking into the garage from where the driveway will be.

This room will belong to Baby Babendure.

Looking at the patio/back of the house from the yard.  The three big windows above the patio are in the living room and the three windows to the right of this picture will be the dining room.

This is looking from the front hallway into the mudroom and laundry room.

This is the living room.  The windows to the left look out to the patio and backyard.  The far wall will have a fireplace with built-in bookshelves on either side.

Here is the dining room as seen from the kitchen.

Here is the pantry just off the kitchen.  Behind it is the office/sewing room.

Our front door!  Well, sorta.  No actual door yet, but you get the idea.
The windows to the left are to the office/sewing room.

I'll add some more pictures this weekend since I'm sure they'll get tons done today and tomorrow :-)
Thanks for taking the time to check in!
