Happy Anniversary!

On April 29th, Casey and I celebrated our second anniversary. To celebrate Casey took me to dinner at Benihana. It was soooo good and tasty! We had a really nice time together. I can't believe we've already been married two years. In some ways it feels like it was just a few months ago, but in other ways it feels like so much longer. This adventure called marriage has been wonderful so far and I know it will only get better with time. I'm not naive enough to know that there won't be hard times, but there's no one I'd rather go through those with than my husband. I love you so much Casey and am so lucky to be your wife. Ups and Downs

Wow...it has been quite a while since I last posted. I kept meaning to, but the longer I waited the more I had to post about and the harder it sounded. I won't bore you with an enormous post telling you all about the last six weeks, but I'll hit the highlights for you. Nicki came to visit from Greenland and we had an absolutely fabulous week together. There's nothing like getting to spend time with someone who knows everything about you and loves you anyway. We talked and giggled and had so much fun. Poor Casey was such a good sport about putting up with us :D Our little family also had a tragedy this month. Daphne, one of our two kitties, died suddenly. I was in Boise and Casey had to call me with the news. It turns out she had a heart condition we didn't know about. She wasn't even 2 yet : ( It's starting to get easier, but we still miss our little Daph. Luckily Alice is okay, and doesn't have the same heart condition. On a happier note, today we are headed to Nebraska to celebrate Casey's grandma's 90th birthday. The whole family will be there and it should be lots of fun. Happy 90th Gramma B!

Things that have made me happy today:

1) Coming home and hugging my husband after a profound night at work. 2) The way peanut butter melts a bit when you spread it on a hot english muffin. 3) Hanging out at the pool...in March.

That darn cat!

So the other day I got home from work, exhausted and ready for some good sleep before getting up and going back to work that night. Alice, however, had other plans. This YouTube video pretty much sums it up.

Lovely morning

I am having a lovely morning and felt compelled to share it. It's a little chilly in Scottsdale this morning, so when I got up I turned on the fireplace. I am now sitting in front of it, eating oatmeal and a grapefruit and enjoying the warmth. I am toasty and I am happy!
